Welcome to Anna’s Bibliotheca.

Photius of Constantinople was the first person to ever review books which he had read and put them together in one big tome. He called it Bibliotheca. This gave me an inspiration for my blog.

I am a self-confessed bibliophile: I love books and I collect them; I buy books and read them; I give books but never lend them. I surround myself with books no matter where I am.

This blog has a dual purpose: for me to keep track of books I read and to share with you, dear reader, what I thought about these books. I am not a professional book reviewer, so you won’t find any in-depth literary analysis. But, I hope, you might find here an inspiration for an adventure or two or three or four…

Carpe Librum:  Grab the Book and let’s get reading!

  1. Hi!
I’ve been reading your book reviews and would like to invite you to a new Pintrest board:

This is a place for book lovers to share their favorite books and also a great place to increase traffic to your website by pinning your own book reviews or book-related discussions. Let me know if you’re interested.

  2. Hey Anna,
I am Aarti V Raman. Marie Macpherson asked me to contact you about my upcoming novel LUCAS (Knox Robinson, 2014). Here is a link to LUCAS. I have ARCs and PDF’s and I would love it if you could review my novel 🙂 Currently, Sasha Cottman, Tamara Gill and a few Mills and Boon India authors are also reviewing it 🙂
